National Black Theatre

is a not-for-profit arts organization founded in 1968 by the late Dr. Barbara Ann Teer.  Dr. Teer explored and discovered how the power of Black theatre could be used as an instrument to uplift, strengthen, and heal our community on a national level.

Naroshmi Theatre Company

Negro Ensemble Company

Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe

WBTT was founded in December 1999 in Sarasota, Florida, by actor, singer, director and playwright Nate Jacobs.  It is the only professional black theatre company on Florida’s west coast.
